Michele has worked in the Music Department since 1995. In additional to regular duties, she is the department's graphic designer and web manager.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies and a minor in English from Cal Poly.

She made her violin solo debut while in grade school at the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society in Miramar, Calif., in a recital featuring students of Claudine Schwartz; but currently enjoys attending performances of Cal Poly's talented musicians.

Abba is recipient of the College of Liberal Arts' Award for Outstanding Achievement (1999-00), and of Cal Poly's Oustanding Staff Award (2006-07).
