Cal Poly's Soundings with [Switch~ Ensemble]

Thursday and Friday, May 28 and 29, 2026
7:30 p.m., Pavilion, Performing Arts Center

"Soundings: Music of the Spheres" will explore the theme of celestial harmony as music technology and composition students collaborate with contemporary repertory dancers to create an evening of original music and choreography. In partnership with visiting artists from [Switch~ Ensemble] — pianist Mari Kawamura and cellist TJ Borden — and video artist Mucio Martinez, the performance interweaves acoustic and electronic sound worlds to reimagine cosmic order through an immersive, interdisciplinary lens.
