On Sept. 29, the Mustang Band hosted the third annual Mustang Band Day. High school bands and twirlers, totalling over 200 participants, joined the students of Mustang Band in a full day of rehearsals and football game performances. In addition to parade marching, the combined bands prepared a halftime show featuring the music of Aretha Franklin and ABBA. This year’s guests were Righetti High School, Orcutt Academy High School, Atascadero High School, Santa Maria High School, San Luis Obispo High School and the Five Cities Twirlers.
