Robert "Bob" McCabe

Robert "Bob" McCabe (Agricultural Engineering, Men's Glee Club, Second Tenor, '52) Thank you for sending me a copy of the spring 2016 Soundboard. The Music Department has come a long way since my time. The memories of auditioning and then being invited to be a member of the Men’s Glee Club and that experience under the directorship of H.P. “Davy” Davidson will live with me always. On your website I found the treaties on Davy and the Collegians, which brought back many fond memories. We were all very proud of the band — you would think you were listening and dancing live to Glenn Miller or Les Brown. I am no longer musically active, much to my disappointment. Post-polio syndrome of my throat caught up with my ability to sing. However, I still love good dance band music and still love to dance in my retired lifestyle. “Thanks for the memories!”
