John Oliver
John Oliver has taken over the position of piano technician previously held by Richard Cummings who retired from Cal Poly after 19 years. Cummings painstakingly maintained the department’s numerous pianos, which included tuning, repairing, overhauling and rebuilding. Cummings leaves us in the very capable hands of Oliver who he mentored for several years. Oliver also had advanced piano training at the Randy Potter School Of Piano Technology in Bend, OR.
