Mark Miller

Applied Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium

Mark Miller earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in bass trombone performance, with an emphasis in music education and conducting from the University of Southern California. He is the bass trombonist for the San Luis Obispo Symphony. An active freelancer, he has performed with the San Diego Symphony, Opera Santa Barbara, the Fresno Philharmonic and the Monterey Symphony. Miller teaches all of the low brass applied lessons at Cal Poly and also leads the Brass Ensembles and Trombone Choir.

Miller is in demand as a teacher and clinician. He is the trombone faculty at California State University San Bernardino and Pasadena City College. Additionally, he conducts the California State University Los Angeles Symphonic Band. He was a soloist and clinician for the Roy Main Brass Festival at Cuesta College in 2015, and has presented master classes throughout California, Colorado and Texas.
