In June 2020, the Cal Poly Symphony and Choirs will travel to France: Paris, Bayeux, the beaches of Normandy, and the Loire Valley. The groups will perform in such venues as La Madeleine Church — which was Gabriel Fauré's church in Paris — Bayeux Cathedral, the Normandy American Cemetery, and Chateau Chambord in Loire. The tour program will include a newly commissioned work by world-renown composer Stacey Gibbs, which will have its San Luis Obispo premiere at the June 6, 2020, spring concert of the symphony and choirs.
